Warwick Connect Launch

After a period of consultation with alumni, we will be launching our new magazine for alumni and friends, Warwick Connect, in March. A big thank you to all those who took part in focus groups, who have volunteered for the Editorial Board and who suggested names for the magazine and who gave input in a variety of other ways.

The first edition features an exclusive interview with top comedy writer, actor and Warwick alumnus, Stephen Merchant, of The Office and Extras fame.

Look out for your copy landing on your doormat soon.

Warwick Podcasts Competition - Help Needed

After some time away from Warwick, you might reflect back upon your time here and find that you have an interesting message for the students of today.

Perhaps you have found your degree to be invaluable in your career, perhaps in some unexpected way. Or you may remember your department fondly, and have something to say about the formative experiences you had as a student. Maybe you just have a great story to tell!

You can help current students, and your former department, by being interviewed for the Warwick Podcasts competition. Your department will receive a state of the art MP3 recorder. The students will receive your invaluable advice!

If you are interested, then please send an email to the competition organiser Robert O'Toole, r.b.o-toole@warwick.ac.uk, and he will put you in touch with a team of students. All entries must be submitted before midnight on 10 March 2008 so you have until then to get involved.

A warm welcome to Peter White who joined the Alumni Relations Team in January as Communications Officer. Peter worked for the Composting Association and Fire Service before coming to Warwick and brings a wealth of expert knowledge to this new role. One of Peter's first projects will be to review electronic communications and he is keen to get your feedback on e-network and the WGA website. Peter can be contacted at peter.white@warwick.ac.uk
