What is WarwickForward?

WarwickForward is a free email forwarding service offered to subscribing members of the Warwick Graduates' Association which allows you to maintain a permanent email address associated with the University. It provides you with an easy way to keep in touch with friends and colleagues following graduation and during your working life without having to constantly update your contacts whenever your email address changes.

WarwickForward works by forwarding any email sent to a WarwickForward email address to a specified destination email account. The destination email address can be any email account including free online web services and can be changed as frequently, or infrequently, as required. This offers maximum flexibility as no matter how often you switch email accounts you will always be able to receive email through your WarwickForward address.

WarwickForward is not an email account service and as such you will not be able to send or otherwise store email with this service. You should continue to send and store emails using your personal email account. Some email accounts may allow you to spoof the from address so that it appears emails sent from your personal account originate from your WarwickForward address.

Why would I want a WarwickForward email address?

Your student email account will expire when you graduate from The University of Warwick and personal email addresses often change, for instance when changing internet service provider. Whenever your email address changes you have to go through the daunting task of updating all of your contacts (all of which may not be in your address book!). It is also often the case that you will have provided your email address to one-off contacts, i.e. when applying for a job, and cannot readily update such contacts. Your WarwickForward email is the only email address you will ever need and you only ever need to update us of any changes!

Your WarwickForward email offers the additional benefit of being an official University of Warwick email address which means your address will look something like forename.surname@alumni.warwick.ac.uk.

Updating my WarwickForward email

You can update your WarwickForward email at anytime and should do so whenever your email address changes. Thankfully, this is a very easy one-step task - simply login and click the button to "Manage your WarwickForward email".

You must first login before creating or amending your WarwickForward email.
